Aurora
Aurora Aksnes was born on 15 June 1996 in Stavanger, Norway. Professionally known as Aurora and sometimes stylized with lowercase letters, such as AURORA. Her debut E.P. Running with the Wolves is released in May of 2015 by Decca Records. It has received high praise from the blogs and the press. Half the World Away - by Oasis to accompany John Lewis' Christmas ad and Nature Boy - by Nat King Cole is already two covers worth noting that the artist has done. Katy Perry's praise for her track Runaway in a blog post brought the singer additional acknowledgement. Celebrate her special day. Aurora Aksnes' first musical moment was when she stumbled across a miniature piano hidden in the basement and becoming enthralled by the sounds it created. Jan Oystein Aksnes' parents May Britt Aksnes urged her to pursue music for development of her own, not to earn a living or as a hobby. In order to do so she started writing her own new compositions. As well as Bjork as well, she mentions Leonard Cohen as an influence. Her mother had told her the songs she wrote might not be famous for her, but instead to inspire individuals to recognize the importance of their work and influence in the world, she started playing them on stage. Her mother suggested that she be able to perform her music publicly in order so that people can see their own importance and how they could impact the world. She didn't tell her family about her music until she reached 14. Aurora was not a goal. Her only passion is to compose music. According to her, she believes music can make anyone feel better.
