Ari Lennox
Courtney Shanade Salter (born March 26 1991) more popularly known as her real title Ari Lennox is an American singer and songwriter born in Washington, D.C. She is the first female artist to be associated with J. Cole's record label Dreamville Records. She released her first EP with the label on October 21st, 2016, titled Pho. This is when she gained recognition. Shea Butter Baby, her debut studio album was released 7 May 2019. Ari Lennox first posted songs online in the year 2012. She released her debut album Ariography and her mixtape debut in 2013 Five Finger Discount. In 2014 she continued to upload her music via the web, including her own released single Bound. In 2015, she was featured in Omen's Elephant Eyes Album, which came out on the 21st July. it out on 21st July. J. Cole asked her to collaborate with him for Rihanna's remark. In the following calendar, her songs was played throughout Dreamville. On December 8 that she had signed with Dreamville Records. In the release album Revenge of the Dreamers II which she was featured on, she sang the song Backseat along with Cozz. On October 21, 2016 her Pho EP was released. Ari Lennox then appeared as the opening performance on behalf of J. Cole on his song Change in 2017, and was a part of the 4 Your Eyez Only Tour. In 2018, she went on to appear on two of her songs along with labelmates EarthGang in Nothing but the Best and Bas on Icarus. Ari Lennox, on the 16th of July in 2018 she released her debut single "Whipped Cream" from Shea Butter Baby. A music video to accompany it was also released on September 5th. Then, on the 9th of November 2018, she released another two singles, titled 40 Shades of Choke (and Grampa). The 13th of November, she released two more singles called No One or Pedigree. They then teamed up on the Creed II soundtrack with Cole on the track Shea Butter Baby on November 16 and released as a single on the 26th of February, 2019 for her debut album the same title. In February the video music for this track debuted. The track has garnered more than three million YouTube views in just a single week. In December of 2018, she was part of her From East Atlanta With Love Tour, which featured 6LACK.
